Discover how you can generate renewable energy Discover how conservation saves money and helps the environment

Since its formation in 2004, the Ontario Power Authority has played a leading role in helping to develop the province’s energy plan. As a result, Ontario residents and businesses are enjoying the benefits of a reliable and sustainable electricity system. The supply of power is assured even as dirty coal-fired generation is being eliminated in favour of cleaner energy sources. As well, Ontario has the most ambitious conservation targets in North America and has implemented the most comprehensive Feed-In Tariff renewable-energy program on the continent.

This means there are opportunities for families and businesses to be part of a cleaner and brighter energy future. Discover how you can be a part of it.

The Ontario government is seeking input from the public as it updates its long-term energy plan.  The current plan, first introduced in 2006, will be refreshed to reflect changing conditions and to take into account the progress that has been made in restoring reliability and building a cleaner electricity system.

The Ministry of Energy has begun its consultation by asking Ontarians for their views on the important questions that need to be answered before an updated long-term energy plan can be produced.  To provide your feedback, click here.
